The Seventeen Stay Pout Lipstick Edit

The new and improved Jodie is actually using lipstick now. Who'd have saw that coming eh? Seventeen is a real gem of a brand and if you remember from my favourites post then you'll be familiar with the Stay Pout lipsticks that were featured. I'm here to answer your silent prayers and tell you all the need to know gossip on the range that I might possibly want one of every shade in.

Now let me apologise for how un-picture perfect they look. My 6 year old brother had a devil moment and smushed them all in the lid. Past Jodie weeps for the loss. Regardless they can still perform the job they were intended to. Making my lips change colour dependent on my mood.

The fail-safe Jodie shades have got to be Just a Fling and Kiss Me Quick. After months of lusting I finally popped into my local Boots and happily parted with my pennies for the most gorgeous nude that is Just a Fling. While Just a Fling is slightly more of a brown toned nude and gives off Kylie Jenner vibes, Kiss Me Quick is a gorgeous pink toned nude that would look beautiful on anyone.

Like I said, I'm the new and improved version of myself and the likes of Rule Breaker, Man Hunt, and It's Complicated have been gracing my lips more and more often. Rule Breaker is the perfect autumnal berry shade, a deep wine that just keeps on giving every time I apply it. Man Hunt is probably the scariest shade to pull off. Orange lipsticks definitely highlights the yellowish tone in my smile, but I can resist a toothy grin for this lovely shade. It's Complicated is a vibrant baby pink shade and I have to say it's been growing on me.

The formulation is a sheen finish, that doesn't dry out the lips or moisturise them which I have to say I do quite like. Applying a decent lip balm before hand is a must no matter what lipstick you're using and the Stay Pout lipsticks are no exception to that rule. They last a fair while too, and even though you almost definitely have to reapply after a meal, they don't tend to bleed everywhere on the application front. I think for the price point, they perform really lovely (you can get three of these for one MAC), and the packaging is definitely worthy of a higher end brand. Plus with a slick of Lipcote, they do last a bit longer

Have you tried the Stay Pout lipsticks? Is there any shades you have your eye on?

*Some of the lipstick shades were sent to me as PR products. Nevertheless they wouldn't be featured in a whole standalone post if I didn't love them. All opinions and thoughts are 100% from the heart

Thank you so much for commenting on this little blog of mine. I read every single one and I appreciate your kind words more than I can say. I do try to reply but it's something I'm terrible at (I'm bad at texting in particular), so if you're after a swifter reply then try me over at my Twitter @jodieloue_ where I'm actually pretty good at replying.
