Let's Talk: Periods (with Veeda).

Veeda
With tampon tax finally being cut, there seems like no better time than to talk about a topic that really should be talked about. It's probably the most natural process in the world, and yet is shunned to the 'do not discuss' pile. I won't judge you if you don't want to carry on reading, but isn't it about time us girls finally felt proud of our bodies and the side effects of being a woman?

Blogging 101: Props.

Blog props
I thought I'd kick off a new series round these parts - Blogging 101. By no means am I claiming to be an expert, I'm still a newbie, but when I started I'd trawl through my favourite blogs for any tips on the simple things, like props, how the photographs are taken, and just the general blogging process.

Four Things in March.

I know, I know, I'm MIA over here. I hate that it's now become a bit of a reoccurring theme, but I have two weeks off for Easter. Happy Easter by the way! Who knew that blogging and being a full time student could be so hard?! Anyway, I'm keeping to my promise of a life update in the last weekend of every month, so here's March's edition.

Inspirational Reading.

Inspirational books
I used to be an avid reader. I could read a thousand pages in a day. Yep, I was hardcore. Nowadays I count my blessings when I'm able to read because, firstly, I'm glued to my phone, and secondly, who has time to read outside the books you have to read for the essay you need to write. Sometimes I stumble upon books I just can't put down, and these fit that quota to a tee!

Five From Soap & Glory.

Soap & Glory
Living in a small town means Soap & Glory isn't all that accessible when it comes to their makeup. Whenever I do make an online order on Boots, well a girl has to do what a girl has to do. I might not own a lot from Soap & Glory but if I could only pick five things...

Beating Blogger's Block.

Why hello there? Long time no speak, or write I guess. Excuse my absence, starting university got me a little flustered and the lack of prep for my blog made it take a bit of a back seat.

The Mother's Day Gift.

It's no secret I'm pretty fond of Dove. I know I always say it, but their stuff smells seriously good and hits all the right spots when it comes to body lovin'. Mother's day is tomorrow and well, my mum constantly nags at me to use my Dove stuff. In the spirit of being a good daughter, she's now stocked up on a few bits and pieces.

As cliche as it sounds my mum and me are much more like friends than mother and daughter (unless I've done something wrong). It's been a rough couple of years for us all and every chance I get to put a smile on her, I can't refuse. Hence why I just had to say yes to this gift set, and maybe because she was pestering me a little.

For the purpose of this post, I did get my mum to open this up and tell me her thoughts. Honesty is always the policy in these parts. So what does the Dove DermaSpa Goodness3 Gift Box include? A body cream, lotion, and hand cream all from the DermaSpa Goodness3 range. Literally my favourite Dove range.

Now the one thing I always love about Dove gift sets is the packaging. It's pretty sturdy and they always have beautiful designs. Perfect for storing nail polish. This box is no exception

Onto the products themselves, they all smell divine (excluding the eye mask, obvs). That typical Dove scent always does it for me, who can say no to a blend of vanilla, coconut and musk? It's even a favourite with my Mum, and when she opened up the body cream to give it a whiff her nose senses (is that a thing?) were delighted. She even proceeded to use every single item in the gift set. It's a winner for sure. She even told me I wasn't to use anything!

The best thing about these sets is that they can be personalised. You can choose to add a message and choose the packaging, or just keep it simple. It definitely helps to add a more heartfelt touch to your gift.

What have you got your mum for mothers day?

*This product was sent for me to review, although all opinions in this post come from my mum and seeing her happiness is always going to make me happy so maybe I am slightly biased on that front.

Zoeva Rose Golden Collection Volume Two.

As a little 'I'm going to University and I'm going to be poor for 3 years' present to myself, I thought why not buy myself some Zoeva brushes? After far too much indecisiveness over which set to pick, I finally opted for the Rose Golden Collection Volume Two Complete Eye Brush Set. I have absolutely zero regrets, *spoiler* Zoeva have killed it in the brush department.
