A Good Kinda Haul

April 9, 2015Beauty
0

What better way to start off after a little break from my blog than posting a haul? Personally I love reading what people have bought lately, and I fully admit I’m nosey in that aspect. Now I’ve never actually been the Trafford Centre before but when Jodie offered, I accepted (I have a friend called Jodie, don’t worry I’m not referring to myself). Now admittedly, I did spend more money on clothes but I didn’t neglect the beauty area.

Colab is a dry shampoo I’ve wanted to try since it launched. The idea of a dry shampoo that doesn’t leave that white cast is just sheer genius to me. I’m not sure if this will knock Batiste out of my beauty shelves (or heart) but I will report back what I think.

Real Techniques just have amazing brushes and I couldn’t resist this contour brush,or the 301 Flat Contour as it’s actually called. I’ve used it a couple of times and it’s definitely revolutionised how I contour. It just makes it so much easier and looks so much better and really works that contour into the hollows of my cheekbones. Oh and I can’t forget just how beautiful this brush looks, and it’s something that definitely works in it’s favour. The price tag has split some people but I think it’s wholly justified. The brush is softer, denser, heavier and looks and feels luxurious. Put up or shut up and all that springs to mind.

I’ve never tried anything from Makeup Revolution, call me a bad blogger if you want, but that’s all about to come to an end. Jodie sings the praises of this brand. I picked up the Redemption Palette Iconic 1, dupe for the original Naked palette anyone, and the Golden Lights highlighter. I haven’t used this yet as I want to get the Naked palette for a comparison post, and the highlighter just looks too pretty. I did swatch in store and these pack some serious pigmentation!

Soap & Glory as a brand intrigues me and I’ve started to dabble in their makeup more and more. Their eye primer and kick ass concealer where next on my list of things to try and so far they don’t disappoint. I think I might do a whole post on how awesome they are!

I love Lush, but I very rarely buy anything from there. I picked up their Grease Lightning spot treatment and their Mask of Magnimity. Both are amazing products and really give my blemish prone skin a massive kick to improve my skin. Expect posts singing their praises soon.

Have you picked up any new products lately?
