Finally A Pale Contour Kit | Maybelline Master Sculpt

I’ve previously stated my love of contouring over here on jodie loue, and I like to think I’m a dab hand at it (I mean I’m probably not, but a girl can dream right?). We all know the way this paragraph goes. I saw this floating around getting rave reviews so what do I do? I go out and buy it. Literally the story of my life. I also swear all my posts start off sounding like that?

The Maybelline Master Sculpt kit is probably the palest contour powder out there. It doesn’t have those muddy or orange undertones, so it’s not something you can go overboard with. It’s almost so pale that it’s only just detectable on your skin, and by that I mean that it actually looks at how I’ve always imagined contour would look. It instantly creates a shadow on the cheekbones and for me, adds definition to a slightly rounded baby face. It doesn’t require oodles of blending to make it look natural so it’s really perfect for those lazy days.

Am I the only one that has a bit of a love-hate relationship with highlighter? Some days I dig the shimmer and other days I just can’t even bear to look at it, okay slight exaggeration but you get my drift. The Maybelline has no relatively no shimmer and just provides and effortless glowly sheen. It reminds me of the Seventeen highlighter I love and adore, and both allow the light to reflect off wherever you apply it without making you feel like a disco ball. I’ve found that setting my under eye concealer with this really is the best thing since sliced bread.

The packaging is robust and sturdy although feels a little chunky, it doesn’t feel luxe but, you can’t have everything. The mirror is also a decent size and it also contains a brush, but we don’t use those brushes do we? There’s nothing I can really say that’s bad about this. It’s the best contour kit on the highstreet right now.

Have you tried this contour kit? What’s your favourite contouring product? Let me know in the comments below.
