Some Sort of a Haircare Routine

Have you ever noticed around these parts there’s really nothing featured to do with hair? I’m honest with you guys, so I don’t cower when I say that other than washing my hair featuring the occasional conditioner, I don’t really have a hair care routine. I can hear you tutting from behind your screen. It’s all going to be okay though, cause I’m now making a conscious effort to actually do something with my hair.

If ever I’m feeling lazy (which is most of the time) I like to skip the conditioner after shampooing and instead go straight for the Aussie Leave in Conditioner. I’m not too fussy on which one I use but the Miracle Insurance one seems to be a great all rounder. A quick spritz of this on damp hair really helps to actually physically get a brush through these locks. It’s no substitute for an actual moisturiser but it’s better than nothing right?

I never thought I’d see the day that I would ever get along with hair oil, but here I am with the Garnier Ultimate Blends oil in my hand. I love the smell of this, it’s probably the main reason why I use it. It also makes the ends of my hair feel soft and just wonderful to run my fingers through. James always comments that my ‘head smells really nice’ when I use it. A strange compliment but one I’ll take!

The Salon Science serum apparently helps to reduce split ends. While I can’t say if it has because I can’t remember the last time I had my hair cut (although I am in less than a week, and I’ll religiously use it to see if it’s true) I do think it’s made some difference. My hair certainly feels softer and healthier and ultimately if I feel that, it must be doing something right! I also love the smell, can you sense a theme here guys?

Last, but by no means least is the Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray. I think when people have been saying it’s giving them effortless beach curls that they’re lying, but my hair won’t hold a curl unless it’s pretty much doped up with hairspray so who I am to really lay down that accusation. Either way it provides texture, grit and just a little bit of volume, and I genuinely enjoy having this in my life ( kind of dramatic, but I do really like it).

Hopefully I’m laying the foundations for some sort of a haircare routine, but do let me know what products you love to leave in your hair in the comments below!
