A Two Year Love Affair | La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo +

french skincare

The marmite product of the beauty world has to be the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo +. It either works for your skin or doesn’t and the only way to find out is to use it. From the title you can probably guess it works for me and when I’m in a bit of a skin rut, this is my saviour.

This was reformulated a good while ago now and it wasn’t until I was actually repurchasing the original one I even realised they’d done so (Escentual sent out the newer version as the original was out of stock). Anyway since then I’ve gone through tubes of stuff, and the rumours you’ve heard about this are true. It really does work when your skin is in a bit of a rut. Whenever I feel a bit clogged and just generally down about the condition of my skin, I like to do the usual cleanse and tone then slather (I probably could’ve chose a nicer word) this over my face. Leaving it for a good 40 minutes before I even think about putting on my nightly moisturiser, really allows this serum to get to work. I can guarantee by morning everything is less inflamed with no new blemishes on the scene.

Before you think this is a miracle product that takes one use to see all the benefits, you really need to think again. I’m talking about 4 weeks of daily use is needed to really let this product perform it’s magic on you. It’s worth sticking to trust me, and it’s also worth that 40 minute wait. With regular use my skin looks less like a Dalmatian and more like something I can get on board with. In fact it has a third off it right now, I might go and stock up.

What do you think of the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo +? Is it something you’re going to try? Or do you already love it? Let me know in the comments below.
