One thing I’ve really enjoyed lately is painting my nails. My nails have been pretty bare for a long time, I mean when do you really see a nail polish post on here? Never is the answer. For some reason the nail painting bug has bit me, and with a few Essie shades in my collection (you’ll see them soon, don’t worry) and an actual nail care routine, I’m game for this to happen.
One thing I hate is when I paint my nails and they chip instanly. All that hard work, for what feels like nothing. With the Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Polish though, it took them five days to chip. That’s right, oh and without a top coat too. I’m discrediting the nails that chipped after three because they’re flakey and I don’t blame the nail polish for jumping ship.
Perfect Pair is the most gorgeous almost mauve pinkey nude, one I can see myself wearing a lot. It’s an attractive nude that I can see suiting nearly all skin tones. It applies really evenly and the brush coats the nail in two good strokes, I don’t think I’ve ever painted my nails as cleanly as I did with this. If you want to see it in action, then have a quick look on my Instagram feed which I’ll link here (don’t forget to give me a follow either #shamelessselfpromo). I’m hoping with a good top coat, it’ll last even longer, and I’ll update this post with the results of my experiment when I know the details. As for now, I think I’m going to be adding a few more shades to my growing nail polish collection.
