A foundation that I’ve always longed to try is Vichy’s iconic Dermablend. If you’re a long time reader then you’ll know that as a side effect of all the nasty blemishes I get, are the scars, and of course the redness. With all the big claims this foundation promises, well, let’s just say I had high hopes.
Including a high concentration of pigments to provide better coverage than a normal foundation, the formulation of the Dermablend Corrective Fluid Foundation promises to deliver a blendable texture that gives natural, flawless results. As it’s a high coverage foundation, it can conceal dark circles, spots, scars, redness, and an uneven skin tone all for up to 16 hours with an added SPF 35.
The love affair for the Dermablend foundation started off rocky, it looked stodgy on me. After a quick google search, which hinted that I needed to use far less product, this one came into its own. With a minimal amount of product, and my trusty RT sponge, this foundation is a dream to apply. It covers everything and anything, yet sits comfortably on my skin and doesn’t cause any breakouts. Every time I apply it, I’m left with the skin I wish I had naturally. It’s magic in a tube.
The Dermablend Setting Powder is one I was a little dubious about. I don’t really have much experience with loose powder, and I always imagine it to be a messy process. Now if I’m not careful, the latter is certainly true, but using a liberal amount, the foundation is perfectly set in place and my skin looks flawless. Nothing is altered either, because it’s completely transparent. That’s always a winner in my books. While I do have to re-powder a few hours later, they truly are a perfect pair, and I have to admit, I’m enamoured with the duo.
Have you tried Vichy Dermablend before?
*the powder and foundation were sent to me to review, but my love for perfect looking skin and a good matte finish is all my own.0
