Skincare is truly the part of beauty I enjoy. I’m sure this is something that will change with time, especially as I’m now actively working towards helping my blemish outbreaks settle to the point where they’re non existent. With that, I thought I would round up 3 products I’ve been loving throughout the past month.
I’ve heard all sorts of bold claims made when it comes to Vitamin C. In a nutshell, people hail it as the cure all product. I think I’ve heard of every possible skin complaint, solved by this miracle vitamin. However the main one I’m interested in is the fact it increases cell turnover on the skin and helps to remove the dead cells, resulting in a clearer complexion. With that in mind, I purchased this Generation A Vitamin C Serum. This serum also contains Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera and Green Tea Extract. I could probably do a whole post on this serum because I do truly love it. It’s cruelty free, and not tested on animals, and is made right here in the UK. It has about 2500 reviews on Amazon, so this stuff is like liquid gold. It has a strong orange smell, which I personally don’t mind. If that isn’t your thing, then this will be hard to use. When I do use this however, it really helps my face absorb any moisture I’m giving it. Whilst it’s too soon to tell if it’s helping my skin for the long term, in the short term I really do enjoy using it.
I don’t know if anyone watched that Halsey/Vogue video, but she mentioned the Laniege Lip Mask and how much she loved it. I had already purchased this by that point, and I just loved how I’m using the same lip balm as Halsey. There’s really nothing else I can add to her mini review of this lip mask, however everything she said is true. It’s the best lip product I’ve tried, and I tend to use it more as lip balm than a mask, due to how dry my lips are. This really helps keep chapped lips at bay, and absorbs quick. It may seem pricey at £10, but it lasts forever. I’ve had my pot since November, and it still looks brand new!
My all time favourite skin care product that I never see anyone talk about, probably because it’s not very glamorous, is Germolene. You can get this from most high street shops, it’s inexpensive and plentiful. This stuff has been with me through thick and thin. I am a picker, and with picking comes sore blemishes. This helps to reverse any damage I’ve done, and for me, helps to reduce any spots, including the pain you can feel with the cystic ones. Honestly, if you suffer from blemishes, give this a go. You’ll find it sends them packing just that little bit quicker.
Have you tried any of my March favourite skincare products?
