three favourite march skincare products

March 25, 2020Beauty

Skincare is truly the part of beauty I enjoy. I’m sure this is something that will change with time, especially as I’m now actively working towards helping my blemish outbreaks settle to the point where they’re non existent. With that, I thought I would round up 3 products I’ve been loving throughout the past month. I’ve heard all sorts of bold claims made when it comes to Vitamin C. In a nutshell, people hail it as the cure all product. I think I’ve heard of every possible skin complaint, solved by this miracle vitamin. However the main one I’m interested in is the fact it increases cell turnover on the skin and helps to remove the dead cells, resulting in a clearer complexion. With that in mind, I purchased this Generation A Vitamin C Serum. This serum also contains Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera and Green Tea Extract. I could probably do a whole post on this serum because I do truly love it. It’s cruelty free, and not tested on animals, and is made right here in the UK. It has about 2500 reviews on Amazon, so this stuff is like liquid gold. It has a strong orange smell, which I personally don’t mind. If that isn’t your thing, then this will be hard to use. When I do use this however, it really helps my face absorb any moisture I’m giving it. Whilst it’s too soon to tell if it’s helping my skin for the long term, in the short term I really do enjoy using it.

I don’t know if anyone watched that Halsey/Vogue video, but she mentioned the Laniege Lip Mask and how much she loved it. I had already purchased this by that point, and I just loved how I’m using the same lip balm as Halsey. There’s really nothing else I can add to her mini review of this lip mask, however everything she said is true. It’s the best lip product I’ve tried, and I tend to use it more as lip balm than a mask, due to how dry my lips are. This really helps keep chapped lips at bay, and absorbs quick. It may seem pricey at £10, but it lasts forever. I’ve had my pot since November, and it still looks brand new!

My all time favourite skin care product that I never see anyone talk about, probably because it’s not very glamorous, is Germolene.  You can get this from most high street shops, it’s inexpensive and plentiful. This stuff has been with me through thick and thin. I am a picker, and with picking comes sore blemishes. This helps to reverse any damage I’ve done, and for me, helps to reduce any spots, including the pain you can feel with the cystic ones. Honestly, if you suffer from blemishes, give this a go. You’ll find it sends them packing just that little bit quicker.

Have you tried any of my March favourite skincare products?

I really want to start taking more pictures of what I wear, and whilst this isn’t Instagram worthy blogger material, for me it’s a start and who knows what the future holds ✨💫

I’ve started editing some blog photos again and I’m hoping to start blogging again soon. This obviously entirely depends on how lockdown treats me as a nurse but watch this space ✨

I’m still trying to get back into writing posts, and all the work that comes with them. It feels nice to actually enjoy creating for my blog again.
I’m also working on curating some sort of theme to my Instagram too, I’m not sure quite yet what that is, but hopefully by the end of the year I’ll have that one figured out.
I hope you’re all staying safe on this lockdown and taking care 💖
So this picture was taken just after I got ready f So this picture was taken just after I got ready for my graduation in November (first class BN degree in nursing 👩🏼‍⚕️). Life has changed so much since then, I’m now a year qualified as a nurse, and I’m on the frontline of this global pandemic. I can’t stay at home, however if you’re not a key worker, please, please stay at home. I’ve moved out of my family home to protect my family from this virus, so please use common sense and practice social distancing as this pandemic is very real. I probably picked the worst time to restart my blog, however, now more than ever, I need a place to escape and keep myself sane. It may seem fun and lighthearted but that’s purposeful at this time. There’s a couple of new posts to read so if you fancy a form of escapism through blog reading, please consider mine. Happy Sunday to you all and stay safe, now more than ever 💕 #discoverunder1k #lifeandstyle

For anyone who has read it already, thank you so much. The world is a scary place right now. I hope my blog can be a safe, fun, lighthearted escape if you need it 💕
I’ve had a love for charity shopping and depop f I’ve had a love for charity shopping and depop for the longest time now. I always promised myself that when I returned to blogging, I’d share some of that love. One of my favourite accounts to follow for preloved clothing inspiration is @loulabxlle and I fully credit her for me having the confidence to post this. I saw @zoesugg share the @zara cord jacket on a recent IGTV and so I found it on depop naturally. The bodysuit is also Zara and everyone probably has this by now so it’s old news, but it is so flattering I have to mention it. The faux leather trousers are @topshop and are super comfy. This is a super long, rambly post but thank you for reading this far. I also want to say that I have a blog post coming out tomorrow so be sure to give it a read if you have the time
Hello 💕 It’s been a long time since I posted Hello 💕
It’s been a long time since I posted on here. In short I’m back. I’m currently working behind the scenes at jodieloue to get some posts photographed, written and scheduled. It’s taken years for me to be bitten again by the blogging bug and this time I’m hoping it’ll stay. I thought a picture of me to start my Instagram journey again was fitting. Not much has changed, other than I’m blonde and I’m on a proper, committed quest for clear skin (how I wish I was blessed with both of those genes). The blogging community has changed so much since I was last apart of it, but I’m hoping there’s still a space for me in it.
